Narrative portraits allow students to relate their experiences and really tell their story through their artwork. Students incorporate narrative elements into their artwork including symbols, animals, gestures and backgrounds. Students are free to use any style they personally identify with, as can seen below. This unit allows students to reflect on their personal stories, including challenges and milestones.
