Yearbook cover

One of my students, Susan Ji, created the yearbook cover for the school back in 2017 when she was only in the 9th grade. She used a photograph of the front of the school as a background to layer these manga inspired XLIS students on top and I thought it turned out really well! Susan has always been a talented student and it was wonderful for me to see her shine with a little encouragement.

Susan later went on to become one of my star DP students. She is now studying art at university at the California College of the Arts after participating in online classes for a year. I am so happy for her. She has always been one with strong technical skills but it was great to see her really push herself conceptually during the Diploma Programme and express her thoughts and feelings about different aspects of her life.
